Does Your Written Content do Justice to Your Personal Brand?

Professional network marketers don't market their opportunities - they market themselves. They brand themselves as experts, and attract people to them because their prospects gain trust in their brand.

When it comes to branding yourself - in whatever way - the principles are the same, regardless of the business model:

Quality + Consistency + Visibility = a Good Brand

Visibility is a given - the more people who can see who you are and what you do, the better. That leaves quality and consistency - which begs the question:

Does your written content do justice to your (personal, in this case) brand?

While it may seem overly simplistic, consider this:

Your branding efforts are aimed at the audience/prospects you want to engage with. Keep in mind, however, the internet never forgets. I have personally pulled up content created in 2000.

First impressions last

Will the content you put out today be up to scratch in say, two years from now? Fair enough, in two years the internet will be different - but if someone stumbles across it, what will his or her first impression be?

Will the quality of what you have written be good enough to get them to trust you?

Will they bother to even considering contacting you?

As far as consistency is concerned...

Any brand - regardless of its industry - is judged by the consistency of its quality. So if you put out a few good pieces of content, and then use a cheap ghost writer for the next few, it is likely to damage people's perception of your brand. In the long run, it will cost you.

Similarly, if you would say, write one blog post per week for a few months, and then miss a month or two, and then continue, the inconsistency is likely to make your prospects wonder.

After all, if you are making money from your network marketing efforts (or any venture), why would you simply stop doing it for any length of time?

Many network marketers are part time marketers. Most of them simply don't have the time or the energy to produce content consistently. Hiring a ghost writer becomes the obvious choice - but hiring a poor writer (and publishing that content) can do more harm than good.

As such, it pays to invest a little more - and find someone who is worthy of writing for your personal brand. As with everything else in life, what you pay for is what you get.

If you need a ghost writer who is both capable and affordable, and understands the network marketing industry, you may want to reach out.

Peter comes highly recommended. He has been a personal friend for over a year now, met through IBOtoolbox. Recently he has been writing his for his own local news website which is gaining popularity.
