Building your brand; IBO toolbox, IBO social Content

Lisech eMarketing logo

What I have found in my time on IBOtoolbox is content is king. It is set up to where the content shows on IBO social. The only thing which shows on IBO toolbox is your wall posts. Those are important as well, as they can be socially shared. For those who have never heard of IBOtoolbox you can sign up from this page. It is one of the rare places where FREE really means FREE. Part of the reason it was created was to help people with their personal branding.

First press release content

This should basically be a biography. With it you want to let people know who you are and what makes you tick. People who are a product of their product can start explaining (very little is recommended) about your product or service.

Learn your audience

On IBO social your target audience is not other IBO citizens. It is search engine traffic and social sharing traffic. In the early days of the platform people could see from where their traffic was coming. During that time on an average day when new content was added 14 different search engines were looking over content. I have no idea how many are looking over content today.

My first summer (2011) on IBO saw on average 100 visitors from Social sharing within an hour of posting a new article.

What then?

Question marks

I highly recommend doing some keyword research. If you don't know how, find someone to teach you, or do it for you. From the second press release on those keywords should be part of every press release. Something to think about, hitting a sub niche page one is simpler for most than finding a page one in your niche. Your goal is always something people are searching with low competition. If you do it right you will find you have taken page one in the niche as well.

Too many people opt for keywords associated with work from home, the reality is those are not necessary. You are convincing people with your content, or should be, the value of the buyer choosing to do what they must to recruit new members or buy more of your product.

Your following press releases should contain part of who you are. You can talk about how your products or services are helping yourself and others. Anything which gives value is acceptable.

IBO wall posts

Other than congratulating the featured member of the day, your posts should add value in some way. Many people use inspirational quotes and put their link on the end. If you really want to see an increase in comments, likes, and shares, write a relevant comment on a press release other than your own, then share a link to it from the IBOtoolbox wall. Your comment links to your IBOsocial profile.

Pictures as part of content

Every picture gives you an option of improving your search engine optimization. The pictures can also often be found by themselves leading to your content. If they are pictures from your computer be sure to save them using keywords in a way they will be found by searchers of your niche. Pictures have to be hosted, so when saving to the host, make sure the keywords are there. You can also add more keywords in the box when you put them into your content.

Pictures as part of search engine optimation

If you are new and have no idea how to insert pictures you can learn from the videos created by Kris. It is simpler if you use notepad so you clean all the HTML. What I have found is if you use microsoft, kingsoft, or open office, they leave HTML in documents which can create problems when trying to add photos.

The font you choose

Fonts as a branding tool

Whatever font you choose make sure is is easy to read. If you plan to have a lot of people print you content use a font which doesn't require much ink. Think about it before your first post, you should use the same font from that point forward, it is part of your personal branding. © April 9, 2018 2:25 PM CST Dennis Thorgesen, Lisech eMarketing, business, personal brand creation, and consulting, all rights reserved.
