Building your brand, are you doing it right?

Lisech logo

The most important thing is to understand if you are in business you are branding. This applies to your business. Your personal life is no different. With everything you post, every comment you make, every picture you post, and your videos if you use them, people are creating their image of YOU and your company.

Everything someone sees becomes part of your identity. It is important to remember politics are local, meaning people outside your country for the most part could care less. Being too political limits you, both within and beyond your borders. I have heard some people say if a person doesn't belong to my religion I don't want to do business with them. There is a wide world out there and for the most part they won't be your religion. This too, limits your audience.

This is the hard part for many. Image is what those who find you, think of you. This is based on what they see and hear. You play a part in it, because you control what others see and hear. As a business owner your thought with everything you do is how are those who see this going to take it? How is it going to increase or decrease the value of who I want them to see me as.

Social networks

Some people believe their following will grow if they are posting religious and political posts. In a sense it is true. What you are doing though is limiting your audience.

The audience you see you will find come in three groups. This leaves 2/3rds of the world out.

  • Those who agree with you.
  • Those who disagree.
  • Those who just don't care.

Those who disagree with you are not likely to become customers. Then there are going to be those who just don't care, they for the most part won't become customers either. The smartest move is to leave religion and politics out of business.

It is my belief everyone needs to understand no matter who you are or what you do, even if you are not in business, you are branded by your friends, coworkers, and employers. This doesn't mean they are putting a hot iron on your backside. What it means is you decide with your words and actions what others think of you.

Artefactory have a nice day.

How Lisech can help

Most of 2010 I spent learning about the internet and how it worked. Where others learn strictly by doing, I paid people to teach me. My trainers were chosen from the best in the business. Believe me, it cost. The trainers made me prove what I created as my method worked. Before I could do that I had to walk in the shoes of those in the MLM world as well as the brick and mortar business model. Basically what I had done pre-internet, what I learned and understood from it is proven to work online. © December 12, 2017 1:55 PM CST Dennis Thorgesen, Lisech business and brand consulting, Lisech eMarketing, all rights reserved.
