Building a brand; Why help people?Lisech small logo

Building a brand isn’t about you or your company. If you don’t help others you won’t have a brand people want to be associated with. Your product or service is about helping people fill a need. As you meet new people, you will find many of them have needs your product or service won’t satisfy, so why should you help them? The answer is simple, when you help others what you give whether time or money will come back to you. It most likely won’t be from the person you have helped.


Today’s article is about helping others

People helping people

Everyone over time creates brand advocates, friendships, and has followers. If this isn’t true for you, start helping others. Everyone knows something another will find of value. Find out who can use what you know and start sharing with them. What is a friend on the internet worth? For each person this will be different. A single brand advocate is worth a thousand hits to a website.




Referrals


Not everyone is the same. At points in our lives the needs at the time are different.  One way you can gain from people who don’t fit your product or service is from referrals. This works the same as word of mouth advertising. Online or off the outcome is the same. It costs nothing to give a referral and many times if you have spent the time to know who you are giving a referral for you actually help the people you know.


Each of the people below can use help.

Tammy needs our help to receive a private grant. The reason she wants this grant is so she can hire disabled professionals who currently have an unemployment rate of close to eighty percent. People she wants to help are professionals who can no longer work in the workforce and are now surviving on state or federal income. Most do not want government help only don’t have a choice. It is either accept what they are given or have nothing.

LaVerne Mitchell

Helping over coffee

LaVerne raises money for a homeless shelter on a small island off the coast of Florida. She gathers what she can from locals and it is not enough.  There is nothing she personally gains other than recognition.   It is in her heart to give her time and resources to those who have less.

Mike is not an IBO member. We are working on this. He like Tammy is trying for a private grant.


Why help people?
