You don’t have a brand being built if you don’t have content and graphics. So let’s take a look at what you should be creating. Consider how you want others to see your brand which in many cases is you.

Written content

Most internet marketers have heard of the virgin® brands. Richard Branson is also branded and the owner of Virgin®. Even though he owns a company worth more than many of us will make in a lifetime, we are able to learn from him personally. He wants others to know who he is and what he stands for. When you see this though, it always comes out as him helping you.

Lessons you should be learning

Although you are in business, you need to be branding you. The people who are going to be your customers want to know you. Unlike brands like Virgin chances are, you don’t have the money to spend on advertising your actual product. People won’t buy it anyway unless you are well-known..

Story telling

How are you going to entice people to look closer at your business/product? Since your life is a never-ending story, might not this be the best approach? People can relate better to stories than they can to “look at my product?” Consumers want to see value, with a story you can show how your product added value to yourself or the life of another. Although testimonials have value, they have more value if advocates of your company give them. They also have more value if people can reach them. When possible use phone numbers, email addresses, or website addresses.

Anyone who has been on IBOtoolbox for as long as I have has met Dennis Grant and James Lockett. Over the years, I have talked to both.  Others have tagged Dennis Grant as the “coffee king” while James Locket is branded as the “healthy coffee guy.”  Product aside, because there are differences in what they carry, which would you choose to do business with and why? Dennis Grant shares his businesses product. He also shares what others are teaching.  James Lockett shares what he reads. The books James shares help those who read them understand how they can improve their lives.  Both are success minded and as far as I can tell both are successful. The stories they share are very different.

Again using Richard Branson as the example, you will notice that a professional creates the graphics his companies use. He knows enough to hire people who are professional to create graphics for him. He uses people who are experienced in marketing, advertising, and creating copy that sells. Copy can be completely the written word; however, it works better with pictures and graphics.Solutionsiec logo


You would know we would throw this in. It comes under visual branding. Brand colors should be part of every video. This includes action videos, you will find there is always a way to add it. If your videos are going to be long, consider your scenes and background. People become bored seeing the same thing all the time.

Who are you?

Do the people you want doing business with you know who you are and what you stand for? You had better believe if they don’t know you, they are buying from someone who they know, like, and trust. How do you consider how you are building your brand? Is your content letting them know who you are?
