For those who are building a brand, mobile is gaining ground
daily. People are using mobile devices when they travel. Often times even when
it is just on short errands. In the past two years, it has been gaining ground
on a daily basis. You want to reach this audience, because when they are
searching they are looking for something they want now.


Who can benefit?


It is my belief every company can benefit. Right now restaurants,
realtors, and stores with physical items for sale are using it. How well it
performs for them depends on how effectively they use it.


Targeting your audience


With mobile, it is simpler to target your market.  Companies are doing this many ways.  There are sales pages built especially for
mobile applications. Applications (mobile apps) are earning for their creators
and creating satisfied customers for business owners. There are virtual
business cards, which are being used to raise money for charity. Real estate
salespeople are using videos on mobile to show houses.

Many companies are using SMS, they have learned the open
rate for SMS is much higher and faster than even video emails. These messages
are also opened much faster than emails. There are people who won’t get far
from their smart phones and some that are never turned off.  There are people who never want to be out of touch.

You can actually set up a low cost system for the cost of a
domain name.  This works best if your
mobile website is informational or a get to know you website. Hosting is
recommended because most no cost systems aren’t full service. There are tools
you can buy that will give you a mobile presence at an overall lower cost than
creating your own website. The ones you want to use are those that brand only
your company. There are no cost versions which give you partial branding, they
can be used however this should be in conjunction with your own unfettered
brand.


Mobile store


For a mobile store, you are going to be paying a hosting
fee. There are two hosting companies we are aware of that provide full service
hosting for under $5.00 a month. With these, the others who are hosting under
the same group you are generally  isn’t
going to hurt you. There is free hosting available; we don’t recommend it to
anyone.


Raise money for charity


Churches and other non-profits can reach those in their
sphere of influence simply with mobile. With SMS you can let your congregation
know when special events are happening that they might forget otherwise. Those
who have regular computers can also access your mobile website with no
problem. 


Real estate sales and brokers


There are mobile programs available, which allow you to show
a video of any property you have for sale. You can choose full on video or
pictures made into a video. This is a cost effective way to show property and
to help find the interest of a client. 


When building your brand


You really want to look into mobile. You will find that it
adds value beyond what you spend. This is; if your product, service, or charity
