What is a brand? Branding is creating a never-ending story.  The company called you wants to create this story to create an emotional attachment. The attachment is not with the product. A company’s goal is to create an attachment to the brand. When you are self-branding, this story is to create interest in you.


What is your product?


Your goal is not to sell a product; it is to sell a dream. People want to feel. They want to feel you can help them.  If you can make them feel, they will become buyers. It helps to know the dreams of your audience. The niche should define the audience. It should not the audiences defining the niche.Oklahoma land rush lisech emarketing


Here are your goals as a personal brand


Let people know who you are and why your involved with the business. Focus more on you as a person. Show the benefits of your product to you; then how it benefits those whom you love.  When your audience understands how it benefits you, it won’t be hard for them to make the leap into understanding how it is going to benefit them.  It is always wise to be a product of your product. If you are promoting a product you don’t use or believe in it is hard to find buyers. There are products, which have made an impact on someone you love; of these, you have a personal knowledge and testimony. These work for a personal business.


Mindset


It makes sense to approach your thinking from a potential customer’s point of view. What they want to know is "What is in it for me?" Then "How are you going to help me personally?"  Know the answers to both, and be prepared to answer them.  Before the advent of the internet elevator speeches were used to let others know who you are. They are still being used today as a way of introduction. In this minute it takes to move from floor to floor, the idea is to create enough interest that the person will accept and use, at a later time, your business card.  


For what is a customer looking

Storyline


When you understand a brand is a never-ending story, it makes sense to create one.  Since people are buying you, it makes sense to be yourself. As long as the story has interest to others, they will follow it and you.


Do potential customers know who you are?


This cannot be impressed enough at this point; personal branding requires people knowing who you are. A picture along with your name is your personal brand identity. Your story defines the image others create in their mind.  All social media should use the same picture and your name spelled to match exactly.  


Social media


You want people to follow your story. This story should be on every social media you use.
