Lisech services and personal historyLisech eMarketing logo

Many people know that we help others with building their brand. Every so often, I post a personal update. This one is going to be a little different. It will let you know a little about me, this one though will also cover what we as a company are doing. The idea is for you to learn from my successes and from my failures.

For those who don’t know

I have returned to the small town in Nebraska that I have called home since I was 4 years old. My grandmother lived in this town all but a few of her 89 years. Her home was always a second home to me. Although much of my life has been spent elsewhere, this town has always felt like home. The second, third, fourth, and fifth homes I purchased are in this small town.

My grandmother was the person in my life who inspired me the most

Everyone who knew my grandmother in her later years said she was a diamond in the rough. She was taken out of school at age 13. She had also started late so her formal education ended at a third grade level. She spoke two languages, Cherokee at home and English when she was in public or had visitors in her home who couldn’t speak Cherokee.

Young adult addiction

I spent many happy hours and a few unhappy ones learning to be an Indian brave. As a teen and young adult, I could and did live in the wild. When I did, I depended on no one or nothing other than what nature provided to survive. When I was in the wild, I didn’t drink. Like many of my ancestors I spent years addicted to firewater.  This part of my life I changed a few months before my second son was born in 1983. My first son died at age 3 months in 1971. I was already addicted to firewater at that time. Serving time in two military services didn’t change this.

My background

From the time I was 15 I have had an interest in personal branding. When my classmates were earning a minimum wage of $1.75 an hour, I was making much more. This is because I learned how to sell myself as an independent contractor. I spent years earning digging ditches and holes. With my small wiry frame, I fit in places machines couldn’t reach. I started teaching others to brand and market their special talents at age 17. My first job managing a motel and restaurant ended in failure. The business failed due to my ignorance. This is one thing I made sure never happened when I ran my own business or as a partner in two other businesses. If you don’t know something don’t be afraid to ask.

Helping others

The first business I was in partnership with; closed down when my partner chose to retire early. I knew this was coming and that I wouldn’t have enough to buy him out, so spent time working on creating businesses including branding and marketing for the employees. All save one started their own businesses and were successful. The one who didn’t changed companies and continued driving truck.

Lisechglobal consultingLisechglobal logo

Lisechglobal consulting has been doing business since 2012. This business was started after consulting for a few companies who told us we should earn something for the time we gave them.  For IBO members and members of Mold inspectors and Mold Remediatiors on Linkedin we offer a no cost first short consultation. A few former no cost and paid clients include Paul Williams the founder of IBO, Jason Yost of SolutionsIEC, David Snell of Snell Experts, Cindy Hamilton of Life in Portland (now out of business) Otoabasi Umoh of mobile magazine apps, Mary McPherson of analytical analysis and many others.

It takes four disciplines to build a viable brand

We have yet to meet any one person who has enough expertise in all four. Paul Williams IBO’s founder came closest. Our consulting approach is to gather information from the experience of our staff. Then talk to the audience of the company hiring us to do the consulting. What many company owners don’t understand is, in the end the audience is who they have to please.

The way Lisechglobal works is we have staff in the U.S. Jamaica, France, Brazil, and India. We can correspond in the languages of these countries and more. You can also choose to pay locally with local currencies if you are in these countries. We are currently looking for independent contractors in Canada, New Zealand, and Australia.
