Building a brand; IBO information special Lisech Logo

Quite a few people and companies are using IBO toolbox to build their brand. Many do not yet understand the most powerful parts of the system. It is our hope that this special information will help you on your road to success. So what are the most powerful parts of the IBO system? It is a combination of personal branding, photographs, and content.  Not many people understand that IBO press releases are often picked up within an hour of posting by search engines as long as they are quality content and follow Google’s content guidelines. This is time cost advertising for you and your business done quickly and effectively.


Building a brand


Those building a brand on IBOtoolbox are generally using their name and face to brand them. This can be effective as long as you make yourself stand apart from the crowd. The color of any clothing visitors can see on your photograph and the background colors matter as does a smiling face. Don’t be afraid of imperfections, they just help you stand out. Photos don’t have to be professional. They should however be high quality. Clichés often share messages that even a good writer can’t emulate. When it comes to personal branding a picture really is worth a thousand words.

Never use a logo until IBO members know your face. When you are making the change use a combination first. If possible, stay with this combination. It is effective. If you aren’t sure take a good look at KFC®.  Some companies will want to use their logo only in time. Using the combination first will help people realize you are the person behind the logo.


Name use


So how can you make your name stand out? If your name is John Smith, you might think this will be hard. In reality, it is not. When people search John Smith, they are going to find many people with that name. There is also going to be a “pictures of John Smith” on that page. This gives you a chance to shine. People on IBO and others who read your content will know your picture. Using proper tags will take the visitor any place you want them to go from the picture.

What should press releases contain? No matter what kind of business you are in; building relationships with people matters more than anything. If you are strictly sharing content about your business, you are missing the point. People aren’t going to buy your business. They are buying you. If you are not there how are you going to create the friendships it takes to create customers? Your content is also part of your brand. Give value; this is what the people who take the time to read are looking for.

For those who don’t understand what Matt Cutts is saying about optimization here is the simplest way to explain. Your title needs to explain what people are going to find in content. They should be no more than 85 characters because that is as far as the search bots read. Your keywords [tags] must be in content for them to have any value to a search engine. The Panda update was created to bring under optimized content to page one. This means the less optimizing you do will help you rank higher.

1.    1.Title lets a reader know what to expect in your content


2.     2.Keywords [tags] must be in content to be of value to a search engine


3.      3Don’t overuse [tagged] keywords. Many times once is enough as long as         the content uses words others use when talking about your subject

You can choose to let people see the face or logo of the person/company who created the content. One thing you have to consider, is the content worthy of having your face or companies logo on it? Are you the type of person who actually writes better if you realize people will match your face with your content?


Photograph optimization


Many people don’t understand what ALT tags are or how to use them. For this, you have to think like the little search bot that is looking for keywords that relate to your subject and content. They can’t read pictures, they do however read what is in HTML. You can ALT tag pictures to what they contain or to your company name. You can even do both. Always put the picture size in the width and length box. This helps people make comments simply and helps them be able to read all the content.  You can also resize pictures with these boxes. If you do make sure you have both increments really, close or you most likely won’t like the finished product.
