Building a brand; Koula Kanos

What is it about Koula Kanos that makes her different? How is she building her brand? Why is it important to her? 


Koula cares about people. At times, so much, so that she has helped people in ways she shouldn’t. She has changed because she realizes this saying really does apply.

Like you

All internet marketers are people. She realizes people buy from people. They also have to be treated as if they are as human as she is. 

Phone conversations

Although she is uncomfortable at times talking on the phone she is not afraid to pick it up and use it. She doesn’t use it as a sales tool. Her choice is to use it as a get to know people tool. 

Why get to know people?

A sale today isn’t about putting a product in someone’s face and saying buy this.  It is about learning the needs of others and helping them fill their need only if what you have to offer does. 

People buy from people

Personal relationships and friendships are the ways MLM marketers use to find buyers. Often when someone buys, people are asked for referrals. Word of mouth advertising works in some cases even when a person is not a buyer. 

How does the money is in the list pertain?

On the internet, marketers are always told, “the money is in the list.” It generally takes seven to ten exposures before a visitor becomes a buyer. It is going to require follow up calls or emails from an auto responder. This is if you can get those who opt in to an auto responder series to open them. With a list personal branding is simplified. 

Note taking

This helps in several ways. The most important it is puts your focus on fact-finding. If you are learning, you are not tempted to sell.  Koula found that by asking questions she was able to guide a conversation to what she wanted to know. 


You will find that a buyer has to be helped or they won’t remain in business. The goal of anyone in a MLM should be to teach a system, which is simple to duplicate. Recruiting is simpler when you can share a proven system. 

Dropout rate

This is what you want to keep as low as possible. It doesn’t do her business any real good to have people join and quickly drop out. Finding people with a real need, then who are motivated to succeed should be the focus of her conversations. 


This is the reason Koula chose what she promotes. She personally wanted to learn. What she has found is it takes both the written word and hearing to be able to maintain what she learns. 

What does it take to see success?

When like Koula Kanos you are building your brand, you want to be able to teach a system. It should be simple to follow and to duplicate. What many people don’t realize is this takes time.
