Building a brand; a heart to help

Do you care about others? A heart to help others is why my brand exists. Since August 2010 my heart and everything I own has been used to help people in need.


Everyone employed by Lisech eMarketing as well as those who actually lived in my home all lived below any poverty line you can imagine. When I took in the first, the unadjusted unemployment rate in Gage county was over 19 percent.

A heart to help

Most needed help beyond food to eat, clothes to wear, and a warm place to call home. The first to receive my help and I did our best to provide not only food, clothing, and shelter, also to help with the real need. The majority taken in were coming from physical abusive relationships. One lived in constant fear of her life and fear for the lives of her children. The majority didn't want a hand out. They received what they wanted and needed which was a hand up.

Helping the homeless

Since moving to Allendale, South Carolina I have been involved with helping the homeless and others with needs through the Allendale Guardian angel program. Currently it feeds and works with some of the hardest cases in the county. In this case I am not on the board of directors, my work here is as an unpaid volunteer. Like many others, I am also a contributor.

Ten percent rule

Since coming to Allendale, the Christian 10 percent rule has been being used backwards. The Lisech companies keep ten percent of the profit received then donate the rest. In spite of this, all my needs have been met. Others have actually donated so I can attend events and meetings where others who might help attend.

How does this nonprofit work?

Most 501.C.3 nonprofits are earning vehicles for the founders. The owner and volunteers of the Allendale Guardian angel program are not paid. The only people who gain from the actual non-profit are those in need. The need is determined differently than most programs. There are too few in the county who live above the national poverty level. The program receives help from many who also need help.

A few who are helping and how

One of the guardian angels is homeless. He moves from abandoned building to abandoned building when he is asked to move. He helps by spreading the word that meal help is now available to the other homeless he runs into. The local doctor helps with his personal time. This is doing physical projects, and by sending people who have needs which can be met at the medical lending (without charge) part of GAP. 

One of GAP's goals

One of GAP's goals is a place to home those who have no home. This is an ongoing struggle. Every time GAP has been close, something has gone wrong. The first was donated; it was used a few months before it was shut down for code violations. The second sold before the money could be raised to buy it. The third is in escrow now, GAP is not the buyer. 

Call to action

In this GAP is different. Professional branding is something that isn't in place. This doesn't mean GAP isn't building a brand. All money is being used for those in need so there is no funding for professional work. Although I do what I can gratis, it hasn't been enough. This is never intended to be like other nonprofits. All the money will continue to be used where it is needed. A search engine will never put the next press release on any page. If you have a heart to help others please read.
