Building a brand; MLM’ers why should I join you

MLM’ers why should I join you

As an MLM’er you also build a brand. It is you personally. What you will find if you do not answer this question in some way “why should I join you?” you will not have many people joining you. If they do, it will be someone who is a number and not what you need.

Most new marketers make this mistake

“Believe me when I first started MLM marketing I believed if I showed my link people would find value.” My social media was all links and nothing about me. It did not take long to realize something was not working. What I learned along the way is people join people not programs.

The reality

If you want people to join you, it is not about links or about you. Yes, people do need to get to know you as a person; they also need to know you care about them. If you don’t care about people MLM marketing is not a way you are going to earn a living.

What should your social media contain?

If you want people to find you, it is important to realize social media is social. Those who use social media are already friends or looking to become friends. They are not looking for the latest or greatest “program” or “opportunity.”

How to you get them to join you?

Your goal is to build relationships. Friendships if you will. Is sharing links to your “opportunity” and nothing else going to achieve this goal?

Be real

There is nothing harder for me personally than not sharing what I hear and what makes my day. With the nature of the social cause I head this is not possible. What I can say is “when I look to my right I see bears, squirrels, and balloons. This is the wallpaper in what is normally the “boys” room. At the moment all the children here are female.

Be who you are

Your personal ethics are part of who you are. If others do not see this, they really have no feeling for who you are. Two years of my life was spent tutoring students in business ethics and business law. Ethics is what you personally believe.

This is what smart MLM’s want to know. In the end it is the most important information you can have.

F. family

O occupation

R recreation

M money

In social media and on the phone you want to listen. You also want to be asking questions. What you ask will fill in your FORM. There are very few people who won’t talk to you when you use these questions. People love to talk about themselves.

Not about you

If you make it about you, people are not going to care. They want to know how much you care about them. Until they know how much you care about them you have not answered “why should I join you?”
