Building your brand; brand trust

As you are building your brand getting potential customers to trust you will have a major impact on your business. What is brand trust? How is it going to impact your business? First you have to know to whom and what this applies. Who is branded? Every person in the world is with words from the second they are born. This is naturally going to carry over into business. Businesses are considered entities and are also. It actually starts with the first business ad you place. As time has progressed Many people don’t realize even for those who are employees this has been happening for years. Customers talk about how employees are perceived, employers use this to categorize those who work for them and those they consider hiring. What is this trust really? How do people perceive you when they are first exposed to your company? What they see is going to have a major bearing on what they do. It is the ability to believe in you or your company which creates customers. No one can really know how they will be treated until after they do business. It is their perception of this which prompts them to buy. Advocates Once people start believing in you some will become advocates. It is not only customers who can do this for companies or people. For internet business your reputation can positively built. It can also destroy any credibility or help you might receive. What can you do to be believable? It doesn't matter if you are a person looking to advance as an employee. You could run a multi-national corporation or be a college student wanting to improve your resume. The best way to build belief in you is by helping others. How does this work? If you build a reputation for helping others people will notice. Quite often the person you help, if you really give them information which has real value to them then show them how to use it. They will want to share what they have learned with others. This starts word of mouth belief in you or your company. Providing value The first and foremost question in a potential customers mind is always going to be “What is in it for me?” The goal of any company or person in business is to provide the answer to this question. In the early days sellers would throw something together and use it to sell shoddy products. There are still a few who try it, they soon find it doesn’t work. The people of today do research before they make buying choices. What value can this be? Let’s say there are two products, each are very similar and cost the same amount. What can you do to let this customer know you have the better value? Build a buzz around your brand with followers who believe in you then add a social cause your audience believes in. This will create advocates for you and often creates the value the customer is looking for.
