First impression is everything

First impression is everything, are you keeping up with times so you will shine?

I received an email from AARP today that hits on the topic and I thought would be a great to share part of it with you too.

They titled it (re)think how you make your first impression and as I clicked on it the titled changed to The New Rules for Cover Letter and as I read this, I saw it could be useful for networking as well.

It talks about how things are different now days when you write your resume and the cover page for it.

As it states forget about you; learn about them.

This is so true in any business if you share with others how you helped in your previous jobs this would reflect your skill level for that type of job.

It goes on to say that you should take the time to learn about the company of which you’re going to apply for a job at and then write how you could perform on that job.

What are they doing in the marketplace, get to know their competition, are the other companies hiring what is their trends, do they have online marketing.

This is true for any business, how will your offer help people to get what they want.

Putting the company needs first or in the case of networking in the prospects needs first.

Which I am sure most of you already know to do, nothing different however bring out the hero in them.

Don’t be someone you’re not, you don’t need to be Hemingway to get what you want to share across.

If you did your home work you will be able to match up your skills for the perfect fit to your prospect.

Everyone knows people want more time and more money which is what you offer.

That isn’t enough, what does that mean to your prospect, how will their life be different, what would they do if they had more time and more money?

Get the prospect to share with you so you can learn more about them and their world so you can design what you have to fit their needs.

Again this is nothing new to most of you, just be sure to know the nuts and bolts of what you offer and what they want and share with them how what you have could be what they have been looking for.

Kat Barnes Raves “I am ADHD and always have 2 computers going at one time, always distracted, can never accomplish a task. I sat down and finished a project after taking SOUL. For me, that focus is unbelievable.” There are many people like Kat who has found the same answer, why not check it out for yourself and see what it does for you. click here.
