This Shiny Object will Earn You $5k/If you Give It Away

Shiny ObjectHow many of the brightest shiniest objects created for online marketing  do affiliate marketers/multi-level marketing enthusiast, homebased business owners need to purchase to be successful?  It would seem from the constant email offers received that there is no limit to the number of new toys you need to make that first $100.00 to the desired $10,000 per month.Every affiliate marketer has a plan for your success which is designed to first take your money by promising you the world and delivering to you a rehashed software program, new loophole in Google or a rehearsed script that will land you all the leads, sales and cash that you will ever need.

The fact is that nothing replaces hard work and dedication.   If you are really doing the work then you will be able to discern the real from the fiction that is inherent in online marketing.  Most of the claims that are made online are what is fondly called hyperbole.  Some politicians call it alternative reality or alternative truth.  My mother on the other hand called it a "LIE".

The best way to determine whether something is real or not might be if it makes sense to your psyche.  You know that still small voice that tells you whether to believe or not.  In online marketing, it becomes a never ending battle to resist the temptation to buy in to all the hype.  It is a daily struggle to delete long-term marketers who offer you everything that the online world has to offer and deliver you broken promises.

The promise of online fame and fortune are indeed real.  People come online becomes of the documented success of several people who make the Internet their favorite ATM machine.  There are so many people online trying to earn money that it would seem to be easy to entice them into your new money-making program that promises true riches.

The problem is not your product offerings.  The new flood of emails does not offer a product as much as providing ways to get traffic to your website so that you can sell your product.  The new shiny object in internet marketing is the how to make money getting traffic.  The sad truth is that many of these products are fictional scenarios that are created by the product creators themselves.  The methods and strategies that they present are fictional.

BitCoinBut he ability to visualize the success of a product offering is not outside the realm of success.  Satoshi Nakamoto, the inventor of Bitcoin who created a billion dollar empire out of thin air. Even more telling is the story of the Pet Rock inventor Gary Dahl who came up with the idea for the Pet Rock after his friends complained of the responsibility of caring for live animals.  This young man sold over a million of the little rocks for $4.00 each.

Other interesting rags to riches story is that of the Grumpy Cat named Tardar Sauce who rose to online fame and fortune after several pictures of her annoyed facial expressions were showcased across social media.  The owner of the Grumpy Cat Meme cashed out at around a million dollars in commercial endorsements.

Grmpy CatThe moral of the stories is that the key to online success is not necessarily the product you have but the way the product is presented to the public.  Can your product or your interest become viral by finding the exposure you need for your product or your business at a reasonable price?

The next shiny object in your arsenal of products and services should be a Giveaway Product that people can benefit from that makes you money and gets you more leads.  The best of the best is branded products that carry your message to the online community.  Best of all, this shiny toy is FREE.
