What’s Blocking Your Success?

What’s Blocking Your Success?

Maybe it’s just me, but I used to look all over the place to see what was keeping me from success.

Sometimes it was other people.  My first wife was a case in point.  (To be fair to the lady, I probably never asked her.  I just assumed she’d object - so it was all in my head really!)

Then I’d lament that I couldn’t afford to do whatever it was I was dreaming of doing.

Mostly, however, it was that I was plain scared.

What if I failed?  What if I ran out of funds?  What if …?

I made up a lot of “what if it all goes wrong?” scenarios and concluded that any of them stood enough chance of being real.  So dreams had to wait … and wait … and wait.

But I never gave up.  I never quit looking for a way to live life the way I wanted to live it.

These days, I do live on my terms.  I’m free of any contractual obligations.  The so-called “work” I do is stuff I’d do anyway because it’s fun and I love doing it.

Of course, there was a journey to get to this point.  A journey that took time and which I now can see didn’t need to take very long at all.

I finally saw that all of those so-called blockages to my success had no substance at all.  I had the realisation (an epiphany, if you will), that success is always within our reach.  Right now.  And I saw that failure is not even a possibility.

Like so many things, when you see it, it’s amazing that you ever saw it the old way … but I haven’t forgotten.

Of course, I’m only too well aware that millions of people are still stuck with lives they’ve settled for rather than the ones they want.  I still slip back into those old thinking patterns sometimes - they’re so well ingrained.

And that’s helpful.  It’s good to remember because I have empathy with anyone who’s still in that place.

I know these are bold claims.  Possibly they even sound outrageous to you.  That’s okay - because I’m not asking you to believe a word I say.

Instead, I’m inviting you to test what I’ve discovered for yourself.  If you get so much of an inkling that I’m onto something, I’m sure you’ll follow up with more experiments of your own until you see for yourself that what I say is absolutely, always and for everyone, true.

Not only true, but beautiful in its simplicity.  So simple that we’ve overlooked it or dismissed it as childish fantasy, perhaps.

Any so-called block to your success is no more significant than a cloud that obscures the sun for a few minutes.  It doesn’t mean the sunshine will never come again.  It doesn’t mean we’ll all freeze.  It doesn’t mean diddly!

If this interests you at all, I invite you to watch this video on Youtube and subscribe to my channel there, because there’ll be a short series of them.

For now, I’ll end by saying that your success is never more than a thought away!
