Shocking Truth About The Power Of Your Subconscious Mind

The Secret Nobody Tells You About Your Subconscious Mind...

Free "5 Minute Impossible Problem Fixer" here...

In my time, the subconscious mind has been portrayed as some kind of arch-villain which harbours all the dross from years of accumulated negative programming.

As a result, this theory goes, there may be any number of “thought bugs” lurking in its dark recesses which can sabotage your success in business, wreak havoc on your love life and cause you to have all kinds of mental health issues, including anxiety conditions of many varieties.

I’m here to tell you, (and I speak as an ex mental health professional of almost 40 years), this is baloney.

Why?

Because you can’t possibly know what’s in your subconscious for one simple reason:

It’s subconscious!

Look.  When you have an anxious feeling, you’re aware of two things: 1 - you’re anxious and 2 - you don’t like it.

If you’re aware, then you have enough information to deal with the situation there and then!  There is no need to go rummaging around in every closet you may or may not ever have closed to see if any skeletons happen to be hanging around in any of them!

Consciousness tells you when you’re out of balance.  It brings the discomfort to your attention.

I don’t mean to be crude, but the analogy works so I’ll use it.  When your bowel is full your body sends you a signal to let you know it’s time to eliminate some waste matter.  Unless you have a medical condition, a brief visit to the bathroom will sort things out and you can pick up where you left off.

It’s only because we have some unfounded belief that dealing with unwanted thought patterns is extremely complex that we get so tangled up with emotional discomfort.

So, what’s the mental equivalent of a visit to the bathroom?  Meditation?  Affirmations?  NLP?

I tried all of those things for years - and I admit I had some success with at least meditation and NLP - insofar as I could pull myself out of a downward spiral on demand - usually.  Not always.

But I still had to dwell on the problem to do that.

Techniques are still predicated on the idea that any kind of unhappiness is to be analysed, understood, uprooted and perhaps even medicated because it’s going to be difficult to deal with.  Because it’s complicated.

But it’s not.

The more you focus on those thoughts, the more energy you give them and the more real they seem.

However, when you notice that they’re just thoughts passing by, like a storyline in a TV soap opera that may catch your attention but doesn’t stop you replying to your friend on Facebook … they will simply fade into the background … and then dissolve entirely.  On their own.

It is us who fuel the fires of unhappiness, anxiety or anything else.

The fact is, we have enough awareness  - i.e. consciousness - to deal with anything that comes to mind.  Because as quickly as it came to mind, it can leave again.  If you let it!
