Being a Navy wife is diffecult to say the least. They used to say Navy Wife the hardest job in the Navy. It was even wrote on my Comissary bags. (Navy Grocerey Store). Not onley did we have a Comissary but we also had a Navy Exchange. (Dime Store) We also had Navy depensery that was the doctors office. We got our perscription there as well. We had Navy Clubs, the enlistrd mans Club.(Bar) Also there was an Officers Club. Chefs Club. Being a Navy Wife is hard because along with the job for employment I also had the kids and house to maintain during Deployments. A Deployment is when the ship you are assigned to goes out to sea for six months. We did have a lot of fun too though there was a wives club that suport for the wives when the ship is out. There is a lot of activities ther. We had a christmas party once a year. We did different things for the other Holidays. I got prenant for my secound child while we were in the Navy. I had to go to the Depensary for prenatal care. I also went into the Naval Hospital to have the baby. It was in Portsmouth VA. that was while we lived in VA. Beach. The Hopital was not too well stafed I guses because I had to bath the baby while in the Hospital. I also had the baby in my room the entire time after delivery. I also had to change my own bloody bed because they didn't. when my husband got out of the navy that child was 3 years old.
