Today there exist several companies offering discount prescription drug cards. That being the case, why are some who need the cards skeptical of using them? It could very well be that some of the cards don't work or are not used properly.
While at a social gathering last week the daughter of a friend was uninsured and needed to purchase a prescription. I gave her one of my cards and explained that the card can be used over an over and it is accepted at all major pharmacies including Walgreen, CVS, and Walmart.
I received a call yesterday thanking me for the card. She explained that the pharmacist stated to her when she handed him a different card that these cards don't work. He was right that particular card didn't work. She then handed the gentleman my card where upon it took off $11 from the total cost. Eleven dollars makes a difference when you are unable to afford insurance. I have heard other testimonials where the person saved over $70. It depends on the medication and that's something else you want to explain to the user.

(We over here in Norway, have a very good Goverment runned system for healthcare. Where the goverment takes care of the bills.)

| | |  | | Mark, This is so true! Regardless of who is in office next term, healthcare will still be a pervasive problem, and we can't count on a quick fix. The cost of small group insurance has skyrocketed, and many more may be faced with being unable to afford insurance. Having a valid, working Prescription Discount card can make a big difference for all of us! |
