Do you sponsor or do you recruit? Great question if you are building an organization. Recruiting is all about numbers which are more deflating than building. Recruits come and then they go to the next hot offer. Recruits feel alone and on their own because the person who brought them in is looking for more recruits.
When building an organization you need a solid foundation, five core serious business partners. Train them to do what you do. Help them to go out and get five serious business partners. If you have ever observed a sky scraper going up it appears the foundation which is dug deep takes months to finish but once the floors start to be added they go in rapid succession. This is how you want to build your organization. Don't have your new sponsors (notice I didn't say recruits) develop the recruiting mindset where they feel they need to bring in 300 people. Instead have them focus on 3 to 5.
Not only are you sponsoring other sponsors but leaders are being created which is equally important. Don't spend time on those who are negative and full of excuses, instead work with those who are plugged in. They get in and start sharing the opportunity, they join calls, three way you new recruits. That was a test to see if you were paying attention. Three way you their new potential sponsors. In about a year to two years look back at what you have built. Your sponsor who thought they had a recruit will be shaking their head and grinning all the way to the bank.
