Do You Consider Yourself A Salesperson or a Networker? network marketing, sales person, sign ups, leads

Sales people are really hard workers. They work hard to build clientele and even harder to keep it. Sometimes the rewards don't equal the effort. Now networkers on the other hand with them the sky is the limit, how so?
Networkers provide value to others ahead of presenting a product or service. Do you know what others like to do? Provide it for them. When someone is in need of a product or service not in your area of expertise recommend someone else. Make sure they are exceptional at what they do before you recommend them.
If you become known as someone who knows where and how to get things done, you will build a clientele. Sally needs her kitchen tile re-done, you call Joe and introduce yourself as an advertising expert. Joe says he is not looking for advertising but you explain that's not the reason for your call. You are calling because your good friend Sally is looking for an expert in the tile industry. After this experience who do you think Joe is going to recommend to his peers when they need advertising? Would Joe be inclined to throw you some business of his own as well? Certainly.
When sales people call leads they may convert 1 out of 30 whereas networkers convert 1 out of 10. What is your level of success? Are you a networker or a salesperson?
