Do you have to have website/blog to grow your online business?

Technically you don’t, but it really wouldn’t hurt! In my recent blog post, I share a few resources that I found online that guide you through some reasons you should have a website/ blog. (You can check out that post here).  The most obvious reason is that it gives you a place online where people can find you. Consider this, whenever people learn about a new product or business, one of the first resources they use to research is to look online.

Benefits of A Blog/Website

“Good advertising does not just circulate information. It penetrates the public mind with desires and belief.” -Leo Burnett. If you are not online, you are missing out on an opportunity to tell the world all the great things about your product and services. Ironically this may be the very reason so many do not have a website or blog. They feel overwhelmed by the prospect of having to figure out what content you need to add to your website.

Planning your content

In my website content planner, I have tried to help you overcome this obstacle. One of the first exercises is to help you refocus on the purpose of your website. When you revisit your purpose, it reminds you of what it is you need to share. Another key exercise is to challenge you to think about your audience. What is it do they need to hear from you? What information will they find most helpful?

One of the final exercises is to help you organize your thoughts to construct your content post schedule. Setting up a plan makes it easier to get your website up and running with appropriate content. All business, rather big are small needs a marketing plan. Failure to market your business is a way to guarantee you will not grow.
