Isn't it time to jump start your business? Learn how to overcome 3 tough obstacles.

For many of here on IBO, we are all working towards building our business online. As we push forward, some of us (from time to time) wrestle with the fear of failure, and the feeling of inadequacy. I feel that it is the fear, and the search for “enough knowledge” leaves some of stuck at the starting line.

It’s not the shoes…it’s you!

Image if you will a athlete, let’s say this individual runs track. They are dressed, they have on the right shoes, the right clothes, they have been training and preparing for this day.  So they go to the starting line and prepare for the race. However, as her competitors come to the line, she watches. She notices they all have different shoes from her. She then looks at her shoes, then back at the competitors and decides “hmmmm, I don’t have shoes like theirs, maybe I shouldn’t run in this race.” What do you think their coach would say? I think the coach would say… “it’s not the shoes….it is you! You will make this race a success! So go back to the line, and win this race!”

That is what I want to say to you! It’s not the software, the website, the product…it is you! (Yes, those things help, but they are all an extension of you!)

Where to start?

"Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible."-Francis of Assisi

As a single mom, working full time and growing my business part time, I get it. This is hard. It is tough. BUT IT IS POSSIBLE! I know I cannot yet do all the things I desire to do in my business, but I can get the necessary things done. As I do the necessary I find that more and more I can do more. What was the key? I started!

Not ready to start? To much going on? Not the right time?

"Your present circumstances don't determine where you can go; they merely determine where you start." -Nido Qubein

If you are waiting for the perfect time, I hate to burts your bubble, but it is not coming. The perfect tme is non-exsistent. There is only now! My full schedule means it may take me longer to reach my goals, but I can reach my goals. My current circumstance doesn’t hinder my progress, it merely forces me to be just a little bit more creative on my journey.

Don't have the resources? Not enough support?

"Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can." -Arthur Ashe

The challenge is really making the commitment, right? Once you have committed the next thing to do is start. Start small, start big…it doesn’t matter…just start!
