The Common Mistakes in Email Marketing

One of the best Marketing Channels is Email Marketing but some of us and even most of the professional Email Marketers make these common mistakes in Email Marketing.

Unsolicited Messages
Have you ever wondered why your emails are going to spam? It is because your prospects did not receive a subcription request and confirm their subscription. Always send a subscription request first to your prospects and wait for their confirmation before you send them messages to prevent a negative impact on the deliverability of your future emails and the effectiveness of the message itself.

Failure to do a List Segmentation
You may be loaded with a lot of customer information but you need to segment out your list to prevent losing money. It will help you send the right email to the right person that will result to a higher optin rate and click rate. A basic way like segmenting your buyers list from your prospect list. It would be easier for you to send the information that is exclusive only for your Buyers such as an access to your Product.

Having Less or Excessive Promotion
There must be a balance in offering promotions to your customers. Avoid sending too much emails because your open rate will go down eventually and your customers will not bother opening your emails. Try to connect with your customers such as sharing the story of your life like how you became the person you are today or showing the results of your works. This allows them to value the variety of products you are offering.

Underestimating the Value of the Subject and Sender
Every email you send to each of your customers must not be treated lightly. See to it that the content of your email reflects you well and presents our brand in an appealing and significant manner. Don't create a subject line that is not related to the body of the message.

You need to be consistent in applying your strategy in order for you to determine its effectiveness. Study if something is going to work or not and how well it will work. Constant sending of emails will broaden your learning and improve your expertise in making it work to your advantage. Keep your email programs healthy so that your subscribers will grow!
