Ds Domination - Thankfully I Work From Home!

I think we seen it all this week, geesh is ALL I can say, but so happy I work
from the comforts of my home.

I'm sure most people around the world were affected by the gripping cold
weather that we had earlier this week.   I live in the south, Atlanta, GA to be
more specific and it was COLD!

Due to the cold weather we had a pipe BURST in our kitchen which caused
a small flood, clean-up crew and plumbers to come to the house so I could
pay them.   I guess that was a 2 for 1 Deal!   Cold weather and a flooded

The only good part about this whole flooding incident is the fact that I and the
wife were at home, so the flooding was greatly minimized as I turned the water
off outside leading to the house.   If I had been at someone's job, the kids
would have never gotten the water off and the flooding would have been AWFUL.

All I can say is thankfully I'm at home and able to work and be around my family
every day.   What a Wednesday to remember.   Thinking all is well we made it
to Friday and then...........

Like most Fridays I pick the kids up from school, however this Friday I decided
to take my 17 year old daughter to the car dealership to look at a new car.
She is a High School Senior and with daddy making a few bucks in his business
we decided to start getting some graduation gift ideas in mind.  (see pic below)

Well later that evening I had a video order due for a customer and I was in the
office working and called her name.   My wife informed me that she had gone
to the store by herself.  Always being a concerned father I called her cell phone
and she didn't answer.

Now if you have children you know that feeling you get when you just know
something is wrong?   I can't describe but there is a feeling you get and then
your mind starts to race.   Well 3 minutes later my cell phone rings from a
number I don't recognize and I hear her voice crying saying "daddy!"

Now I'm on the edge of my seat, blood is pumping and heart is racing because all
I can think about is who messed with my CHILD!   She proceeds to tell me that
some boys robbed her and took her I-Phone when she came out of Family Dollar.

I told her baby just come, baby just come!!!   When there is an emergency going
on time seems to take forever and ever.   Well she finally arrived home, in tears
and obviously shaken up and we called the Police.   I HATE when someone
bothers my children, I really, really do because I would much rather then do
something to me.

Well the end of the story is that my daughter is safe and sound, the I-Phone,
who knows if we will ever see it again, but I will see those little thugs that took
something that didn't belong to them and upset my baby.

Now I am by no means a violent person, however my DADDY Senses are on
HIGH Alert!!!   I thank God that she is safe and know that material possessions
can always be replaced, but just the FACT that I was at home when an
emergency in family took place was PRICELESS!

NO JOB or any amount of money can equal the amount of happiness, joy and
love that I have for my family.   Working from home and keeping a close eye on
them motivates me even more to keep working from home and helping others
to get home to their families!

p.s.  in life there will always be challenges, adversity and unforeseen occurrences, however we must keep going and not give up!
