Make each day your masterpiece.

Because of my two disabilities, A. my birth defect from Cerebral Palsy and B. my spinal cord injuy from where I fell in my bathrooom and broke my neck, I need special total assistance in getting up out of bed, dress, showered etc, and then transferred with a battery powered Hoyer patient lift into my shower chair, wheelchair, etc, on and on.

Most people I think would get the idea this is quite a hassle.  Actually, once the routine sets in everything goes fairly smoothly especially with good assistants or health aids and with the medical equipment, I am blessed to have.

With everything going nice and smoothly as most mornings go with our routine, there are still uncomfortable and difficult moments with my body being, transferred, shifted, maneuved, rolled around, pushed, pulled while showerng, dressing and set in my electric wheelchair to get around and continue my daily life.  This routine sounds rough but this is something that needs to be done.  Some people would say, “Wow, whata job”.

Then other people continue on to their jobs in the real world and do all their normal routines. But they still need to find their car keys, let the dog out, drive the kids to school, pack lunches on and on.  Plus, all the unexpected things that occur during every working day in life.
