Sharing Good Stuff branded content, social media

Social media, particularly social sites, is not the venue to blatantly promote our business opportunities and programs. Rather social media is the place to promote "branded content" as the above article points out. I define "branded content" as information and insight offered by a transparent and trusted personality. We don't have to be celebrities to have "branded content".
Along with our "branded content" we need to create a targeted audience. For example, by my intent and design, about 90% of the people following me and the people I follow on Twitter are online marketers, therefore I do have a moderate amount of promotional Twitter posts but I also reTweet other people's Twitter posts and content not related to anything I am doing or promoting. There are also niche social sites that are for business or online marketers. The very act of sharing other people's linked content is important in building your own "branded content" because like the Bible say's " it is more blessed to give than to receive". Nothing elevates our own "brand" more than by elevating the"brand" of others. Finding our targeted audience and sharing "good stuff" is really what "branded content" is all about.
