Another reason people do not produce is because they lack confidence in themselves.
The reasons people lack self confidence has to do with the way people interpret information (life) that has been presented to them.
What exactly does that mean?
While participating in a relationship workshop, it was said that this woman felt that she was not loveable because her boyfriend left her. Is this a correct interpretation? I can’t make that decision for anyone, but for me, it is an incorrect interpretation. Right or wrong, if she carries that thought process around with her, it will affect every area of her life.
Why do I say that?
I have a belief that how you do some things is how you do all things. If you don’t give your best effort at work, I can assure you that you don’t give your best effort anywhere else. Why? It has to do with character. Your character is, what it is. That is not to say you can’t do things differently, but at this point, what you see is what you get.
So if you are training someone that has interpreted success to mean hard work, cheating others to get what you want, taking time away from family, they have never had success before, more importantly no one in their family has ever been successful and the list goes on; you can not get them to produce until these other concerns are addressed.
For some people you will have to be their positive self-confidence. Meaning, if they value you and your views, they will have to borrow the way you feel about them until they can get to a level where they do believe in themselves.
Their self-confidence or self-esteem will start to increase as they start to get positive results.
I know again there are those that are thinking, “Ron, that is too much work”. If you believe that, I will repeat again, “DON’T RECRUIT THEM”.
If you are truly in to helping people it means you have to be willing to give of yourself. It doesn’t make you right or wrong whichever way you decide to go. I am just recommending that make a decision which side you are on and only recruit based on where you stand.
It ain’t right. It ain’t wrong. Its just my opinion Ron “Simplified” Myers Part 3 of 5
