I was telling this story about "Success is Just Passed Splat" yesterday and I felt it was a great blog. I forgot where I heard it, but the message stuck with me.
A person was traveling down a road looking for "success." They came across a wise looking person and so they asked, "Can you tell me where success is?" The person pointed down the road and said, "Success is located just passed splat".
The person walked down the road and a big crane came down from the sky and squashed them (SPLAT!!!). The person went back and asked the wise person again, "I was asking, where is success?" The wise person pointed down the road and said, "Success is located just passed splat".
So the person walked down the road and again the big crane came down and squashed them (SPLAT!!!). After this second disappoint and the pain of "splat", the person decided to just take a different road and they never got to "Success".
The person didn't listen and grab the wisdom behind the message "Success is located just passed splat." I know you can see that the person had already experienced the tough part of their travel and that was the "Splat". All they had to do is continue down the road after the splat instead of coming back and asking, "Where is success?" Success was located just on the other side of "splat".
This message is so true to life. We all have things that cross our path (splat) as we continue this journey called life. The difference between those that get what they "really want" and those that get what they "really don't want" is the ability to understand that "splat" is just a part of the journey. The way you interpret "splat" will determine how you feel, which will determine how you will react.
My recommendation is to enjoy "splat" because you now know that success is on the other side.
It ain't right. It ain't wrong. It's just my opinion.

| | | | | This is so true and reminds of when you get with a opportunity you may find on the Internet, the "splat" is the building up process and sometimes you feel frustration at things not moving as fast as you would like them to, but if you can just hang in there things start to happen for you that you never imagined. |
