A man's character may be learned from the adjectives he habitually uses in conversation

If we want to live a happy, positive, and abundant life, one of the key factors is our mindset, and our attitude toward life. We want to guard our minds from negative influences.

Here is a fun way to get to know our friends and acquaintances, and even family members, to see how supportive and helpful they would be in our effort to improve our lives. What kind of character do they have? Are they positive or negative?

There are many things that characterize a person’s personality. One of the main ways to get to know a person’s character is by listening to what he or she is saying. This will be an interesting exercise for us to try out right now.

As we have a conversation with a friend or colleague, let's pay attention to the adjectives they use to describe something. They could be describing a place, an object, or a person. Chances are that they are going to use several adjectives to describe these nouns.

During the conversation, watch whether the adjectives are positive or negative. The constant use of negative adjectives shows them to be somewhat negative about themselves, because of the pessimistic attributes they were using. It also point to them focusing only on the bad things.

On the other hand, if a person describes things nicely, and focuses on positive or beautiful attributes of places, people or objects, then, that person most likely has an optimistic character. Talking with such a person gives us a happier feeling, and there is a positive ambiance around them.

As we see, there is a significant difference between one person and the other, and by simply focusing on the adjectives they use when they talk about something or someone, we can clearly identify how their minds work, what they are like, and what type of character they have.

When we play this little game, to find out the kind of people we want to surround ourselves with, let's remember, we can chose our friends. When we find our relatives to be too negative, we can't divorce them, the best we can do is avoid them.

As we are on our journey to achieving our goals and dreams, it is of the utmost importance to avoid negative influences, and focus on the support of the positive and enthusiastic friends we so dearly cherish.
