I am calm and mindful

  My mind is still and quiet, even in turbulent times. The more stressful my environment, the more relaxed I become. I am able to stay level-headed and peaceful during turmoil and anxious moments.

  I breathe in deeply when I want to bring my mind back to the present. By having my mind in the present, I am able to enjoy everything that is available in that moment.

  When I am mindful, I feel that nothing can hurt me. I can face the challenges in my life directly and joyfully.

  Being calm and mindful creates the mental space I need to make wise decisions. This includes decisions regarding my speech, thoughts, and actions. I avoid the habitual reactions that are the genesis of challenges.

  Mindfulness makes me more able to manage my life successfully.

  Remaining calm in stressful situations feels good. I enjoy the feeling that I have control over myself. My ability to handle stress and maintain my focus grows by leaps and bounds.

  My calmness is contagious. I have a positive impact on the mood of everyone around me. I am a positive influence on the lives of others.

  Today, my mind is focused and observant. I am aware of my thoughts and actions. I learn more about myself, and my mental habits each day. I am calm and mindful.  


Ask yourself these Self-Reflection Questions:

1. When is my mind most likely to drift off from the present?

2. How does my lack of awareness of the present moment negatively impact my life?

3. How can I begin to be more mindful at home, work, and out in public?
