There is a lot of value in setting an example for others to follow. When I treat others in a certain way, I naturally expect to receive the same treatment in return.

I am conscious of how I relate to strangers. It is important for me to greet them in a respectful manner. Receiving a positive response in return is automatic, when I choose to act respectfully.

Kindness is also important to me. I go out of my way to extend support and assistance to anyone who needs it.

Although I anticipate being able to go to others for help in return, I do it as a public service. I trust that others see my intention, and feel inclined to return the favor.

When I maintain an open-door policy at work, my co-workers feel encouraged to speak openly with me. I create a scenario to foster positive energy in the workplace.

Making myself open to my colleagues also opens the door for me to request the same of them. How we communicate at work determines how successful we are as a team. I am committed to building the kind of energy that results in growth for the company.

Today, being an example of honorable living is a great way to receive fair and sincere treatment from others. I believe in the ability of my own actions to spark influence and positively impact the world.

Ask yourself these Self-Reflection Questions:

1. How do I respond to someone who is being disrespectful to me?

2. How much value do I put on receiving respect from others?

3. What is the most ideal way to indicate to others how I prefer to be treated?
