What should we eat for skin nutrition?

Well, it will be difficult for you to stick to her beauty routine, here are some of my suggestions to improve your skin health.

What to eat?

  • Walnuts. This is only nut which contains significant amount of Omega -3s which help nourish the skin. One handful of walnuts a day will improve your skin drastically.
  • Pumpkin. Cooked pumpkin is one of the top sources of beta-carotene. The body converts beta-carotene into vitamin A (a half cup of cooked pumpkin packs nearly 400% of your daily value for A), which is essential for the growth of skin cells.
  • Olive oil. Olive oil beats other oils, including mustard, sunflower and peanut. Why? About 75% of the fat in olive oil is monounsaturated fatty acids, which may play a role in the youth boost.
  • Tomatoes. A study shows that eating raw tomatoes regularly reduces sun burns.

  • Green Tea . Green tea contain polyphenols which make the skin more elastic and smooth. Drink at least one cup of green tea day.
  • Pomegranates. They're packed with polyphenol antioxidants. Polyphenols fight free radicals and regulate skin's blood flow, giving it rosiness.
  • Bell peppers. Women who eat green and yellow vegetables regularly tend to have fewer wrinkles, especially around the eyes.
  • Kidney beans. They are rich in Zinc which promotes skin nourishment.
  • Eggs. Eggs are high in protein which helps repair the damaged skin cells.
  • Oatmeal. It keeps the blood sugar level down. This is important because spiked blood sugar elevates your body's level of androgens, hormones that can contribute to wrinkles.
  • Flax seeds. They help hydrate the skin. They can be added to oatmeal and shakes.
  • Gooseberry. It is so rich in vitamin C that one gooseberry is equal to twenty oranges. The antioxidant properties and it’s role in collagen synthesis make vitamin C vital for skin health.
  • Water. This should be on the top of the list. Drinking enough water is extremely important for skin health as it aids in digestion, circulation, absorption and even excretion.

What not to eat?

Well, you know it already.

  • Junk food.
  • Processed foods.
  • Packaged foods.
  • Sugary foods.

Some home remedies.

  • Lemon and Cucumber. Rub a lemon to cleanse your facial skin. After 10 minutes, wash you face with lukewarm water. Now rub cucumber slices to moisturize the skin. It is a good skin routine for clear skin.
  • Lemon and Honey. Mix juice from one lemon along with 1 teaspoon on honey (raw). Rub it over the skin and let it stay for 15 minutes. Now rinse to get a glowing skin.
  • Turmeric and Pineapple. Mix one tablespoon of turmeric powder with enough pineapple juice to make a paste. Apply the paste to your face and neck. Leave it on until the paste dries completely. Then wash it off with lukewarm water. Follow this remedy two or three times a week to reduce the appearance of spots on skin.
  • Aloe vera.
  1. Extract the gel from an aloe vera leaf.
  2. Apply the gel on your face using a cotton ball.
  3. Allow it to dry on its own for about half an hour, and then rinse it off with lukewarm water.
  4. Follow this remedy daily or several times per week to get surprising results.
