A Day of Reflection and Prayer

Today we pause to consider what we are seeing in our country today.

When we look back we see cycles of war and peace, poverty and abundance, racial strife and reconciliation, conservative government and liberal goverment; cycles are a part of the fabric of American way of life.

In spite of the above, we find America to be a magnet that attracts people from all over the world.

(In spite of all we complain about, let it not overshadow the ultimate good and benefits that is ours in the long run.)

America is attractive because of the benefits, resources, opportunities and the freedoms that many long for. Some even risk their lives to reach the American shores.

In spite of her current characterization, America is a unique country. A Blessed country.

May we pause, Pray, and Encourage

From Genesis to June 7,2018, we see monuments of war and peace, destruction and construction, marriage and divorce, prisons and half-way houses, lightening storms and sunny days, life and death.

But our hope is not in man but in God that created us and loves us with unconditional Love. Our hope is in the One whose Providence made what we enjoy today possible.

May we pause long enough to pray and thank God for His blessing us and ask Him for wisdom and courage to face who we are; wisdom to chart a course for the nation such that we all benefit.

So as we come together may we enjoy the fruit of our labor and share with those less fortunate.

We are in this together!
