What's Wrong With Network Marketing?

What's Wrong With Internet Marketing?

There is the prevailing notion among some consumers that Internet Marketing is not a genuine business or it is a pyramid scheme, or even yet, relegated to a position lower that a menial job.

One might not be surprised to find that kind of sentiment among consumers given the history of ecommerce and the various forms it takes.

But what about entrepreneurs? Sad to say, but some entrepreneuers engage in internet marketing haunted by their own predisposition to it because of prior conditioning. They have not decided for themselves that internet marketing is a viable enterprise and on par with other business models. Or, they are haunted by the biases of friends and relatives.

In this post I'd like to point out the negatives, but at the same time, show the positive aspects of internet marketing.

1. Some enter internet marketing with unrealistic expectations: a) make money quickly b) make money with little effort or c) customers are just waiting to buy their products or services.

2. Some are convinced that they can duplicate what the super star earners have achieved.

3. Some expect to attract customers with the look of success without having the personal conviction and confidence in themselves or their product or service.

4. Some do not see themselves as business men or women and therefore they fail to operate as a business.

These are but a few of the things that are wrong. More insight will be shared in my next post.

Now for some of the positive aspects:

1. Internet Marketers must see themselves as professionals engaged in a real business.

2. Internet Marketers enjoy unlimited market potential. The world is the market.

3. The cost to enter the market can be very low. In some cases, entry is free.

The above is hopefully the beginning of a dialoq to emphasize What's "right" with internet marketing.

I am most appreciative to those who take the time to read and add their thoughts in the comments.
