The Land Of the Free

We pride ourselves for the freedoms we enjoy...

But when you really think about it, are we really free? Of course we are free but in a limited sense.

We are told not to espouse our religious or political views. If we did not, how would one evangelize? Or how could we summon one for political office?

(Our first presidents did not  campaign for office. They were chosen by those who knew them and their character. It was considered inappropiate to campaign for yourself if running for president.)

We are told  we should not judge others. WHAT?  We constantly judge. It keeps us alive sometimes. If a young man asks to marry your daughter would you not judge him?

We are told we must be politically correct. Well, the problem with being politically correct is our "being" transcends politics. Politically correctness may

be all right so long as it does not violate one's God given conscience and God's Righteousness. Our creator has determined what is right and what is not right.

Enough already...

I just wanted to jog our thinking about who we are and the things we say.

It is sometimes easy to go with the trend of the season, but it is important to know that Truth wins out in the end. Even though our freedoms may be curtailed in certain areas, we still live in the greatest country in the world and enjoy freedoms that some parts of the world go lacking.
