Purpose versus Tradition

PURPOSE versus TRADITION

The question  is how do we distinguish the difference between pursuing one's purpose in life, as opposed to following family tradition?

The person who sets out to pursue a career needs to examine their motivation. Am I being motivated by the leading of my parents or other significant figures in the family, or am I sensing an internal tugging from within? I mentioned in a previous Press Release that ones purpose is determined by our Creator and it is compared to the modern day GPS:
therefore, it could could be ignored, misinterpreted or not believed.

If we are to fulfill our purpose, we need to be sure we know our purpose.

So how does one come to KNOW their purpose?

Good question but when you think about it, it's not a difficult question. If we purchase a computerized device that we are not familiar with, we consult the user's manual or someone who is knowledgeable of the device. Why nor use the same approach when it comes to our purpose?

Our Creator, the God of the universe, has given us "all that we need for life and godliness" as well as a "user's manual" called the Holy Bible.

                                Bible Is the Key

The Bible teaches us who we are, who God is, and how we relate to each other. In many words and examples, the Bible leads us not only to an understanding of our purpose, but to the greater understanding of Love, the engine that drives it all.
