Who Understands Sales Today?

If you were introduced as a marketeer or sales rep, you may be received with skepticism or considered to be untrustworthy. Yet, without Marketing or Sales, corporations would not sell their goods and services. What a coundrum. In the late 1800s we lived with the Robber Barons.Names like Carnigie, Rockefellow, Astor, Mellone, and Vandebilt provoke thoughts of business giants taking advantage of the consumer or the little guy. One might argue they may have been unscrupulous  in the acquisition of their wealth but society reaped the benefits which gave the average American access to a much better life than their counterparts in other countries.

I only use this as a contrasting backdrop to sellingin todays world.I want to show how far we have come.

For example, successful Marketeers succeed when their primary goals to help their clients. First, they

endeaver to establish a relationship based on mutual considerations.Then they provide the client with

viableandhelpfulinfo.This tends to build trust which is fundamental to any lasting relationship.I believe

this concept is even more critical in the MLM environment.
