Making Your Social Profiles Brand Friendly

Today you are going to be updating your social profiles to include reference of your website. A big aspect of social and your overall success is going to be the result of you building your brand and becoming and credible and reliable source of help.

And one of the best ways to build your brand is to leave traces of what you are doing everywhere you go, including within your profile details.

Remember that every place you can add additional reach and branding to your website is going to lead to additional traffic and conversions, so all of these social profiles (within your social networks) are going to add up.

Task 1: Update Your Facebook Profile

Your first task is going to be updating your Facebook profile. You are going to be able to do this by editing your "About" section. There are two aspects of this profile that you can update, Where have you worked and your Websites section.

For the "Where You Have Worked", you can actually use if you like (as I have done in the video). This will add additional exposure to you being a member of WA and you will likely get questions as a result (which can and will lead to sales).

As your position, you can add:

  • affiliate marketer
  • internet marketing
  • affiliate
  • active member
  • active contributor

Any of these would work.

Then you can scroll down and update your Website section as well to add your personal website(s) that you own. These are two easy ways to leverage your Facebook profile to extend your branding.

Task 2: Update Your Twitter Profile

Your next task is to update your twitter profile. To do this, you will need to log into your Twitter account and click the Me link within the header. This will take you to your personal homepage and if you mouseover the main area, you will be able to edit your profile.

I recommend that you add your website (you can shorten it if you like, sometimes they will not allow the full link). Also included your website within your description as well. To shorten your link you can use one of the link shortening services:

Again, people will see your website within your profile and it will lead to click-throughs to your website, branding, and in some cases business relationships.

Task 3: Update your Google + profile to Include Your Website

Your last task is to update your Google + profile. You can do this by visiting your Profile section, and you will find the ability to edit your profile settings under the "About" tab at the top.

Within Google+ I recommend that you update the following sections to include your website:

  • Occupation
  • Links

Add yourself as the Owner of your website, in my case and also add a link to your website(s) within the Links section.
