If you're a great listener, then great for you. You can probably relate to what I am about to say on this subject.
When talking with people, it is best to always listen in the now.
Why do I say LISTEN IN THE NOW?
Listening in the now means that you must give that person your full attention so that you can recognize if they are giving unsolicited advice or being negative. Negativity would not be a good thing for you to hear because it will get into your subconscious mind and you will not be aware of it.
That same negativity or unsolicited advice could cause devastating things to happen in your life and business. This is why everyone should have a self talk (autosuggestion) to program their subconscious mind to act on the thoughts you want to go in.
Napoleon Hill talks about Autosuggestion as the medium for influencing the subconscious mind in his book "Think and Grow Rich."
The principle of autosuggestion means that your thoughts will reach your subconscious mind voluntarily because they are being injected by you. Good positive thoughts and this is why you should listen when people speak to you, this takes effort so that you will keep any negativity or unsolicited advice from entering into your subconscious mind. It acts on whatever gets to it, be it positive or negative.
