Once upon a time there were two men and both were in pursuit of starting their own business, so they would have residual income and never have to work again. Each had their own idea of what they were looking for. Bob wanted it fast and didn't care how or what he had to do to get it. Now Reid said he was going to have a business built on trust, love and integrity so he went about looking for a business opportunity that would allow him to do this. Reid was finding it difficult to find any company that met the criteria he wanted. He just kept on looking and he knew their had to be network marketing company out there that met his needs and was going to give him the residual income he desired. Reid had a burning desire to do this and wasn't ready to give up on his dream of having a successful home business.
Now getting back to Bob who lives in Atlanta, he had already found him a business and went about telling everyone he knew about his great business that was going to make him SUPER RICH. Bob joined without reading the companies policies and procedures, he didn't know there was a clause in there that said "his network marketing company could terminate him for any reason" and he didn't know that when he stopped sponsoring people into his business that his income would stop. So that meant he could never retire and he wouldn't have residual income. Bob was in about dozen different business opportunities and he was good at getting people in, and so he thought he was doing great.
NOTE: Can anyone else do this and will Bob train them? Back to Reid in Chicago and things are looking great, he has read his policies and procedures of a business opportunity that he likes very much. Reid did his homework and crunch the numbers of his compensation plan and figured out that he only needs 400 people to make $10,000 residual income, and he didn't have to sponsor them all in. With proper education, skills and training he could do it. He decided to join and sign up with this company, and he proceeded to work his business.
Moving forward a year later and Reid is doing very nicely with his business, and Bob is pretending to be doing great. Actually he is getting tired of all this sponsoring and he contacts his friend Reid and asks him about his business and how is everything going. Reid told him that everything was great, so Bob didn't want Reid to know that his business wasn't doing so good and told him "things are great, couldn't be better."
Bob asked him "so what are you doing?"
Reid answered "I'm in a great business and it is really going great for me, I'm meeting a lot of nice people."
Bob "How much are you making?"
Reid "I'm making $500 a month in residual income"
Bob "what's that?"
Reid "You don't know what residual income is?"
Bob "Oh yeah man I know. So how many people you got in your team?
Reid "I got 20 people. Bob How much residual income are you making?
Bob "When I sponsor someone into my business I get paid $500 upfront money."
Reid "So where's the residual income?"
Bob "I make $3,500 a week, that's much more than your $500 a month."
Reid "You telling me that you sponsor seven people into your business every week? Where's the residual income?
Bob "I'm making it and you're not."
Reid "There's no residual income, that's what you're telling me Bob? So that means if you were to take a week off and you didn't sponsor anybody that week, would you get a check for that week?
Bob "I guess not Reid, never thought about it that way. So how can I learn to make residual income like you? That's what I want, because I surely want to retire one day."
Reid "I'll be happy to show you. You got time now?"
Bob "Sure Reid, this is my future and I want residual income too.
This is an example of what so many people are experiencing on the internet, every one wants to make money online, and what people need to realize is this.
