Today I will be talking about SEO Link Building, and for the new person that don't know what SEO stands for, it is search engine optimization. Now what it means is, in order to get your site in the various search engines such as Google or Yahoo, it must have keywords that tells the search engines what your site is about. The more descriptive you can be in choosing these keywords will go along way in telling the search engines about your site, and allowing them to index your site properly. Additionally these keywords must be words that people are searching for, if there is no searches being done on your chosen keywords, then what's the point of using them. YOU will not get any traffic to your site and your efforts will be for nothing.
Now the next thing is link building. Link building is something you certainly want to do and this involves getting backlinks. What are backlinks? It's really very simple, it's links that point back to your site. The search engines needs backlinks to TELL that your website exist and is worth indexing. There are different types of backlinks, and I will talk about anchor text backlinks. An anchor text is the text that is hyperlinked, which will help tell the search engines what the site being linked to is about.
The best way of getting backlinks is to use the various social bookmarking or social networking websites, doing this will assist you in your efforts of getting the top spot on the search engines.
