20 Ways To Successfully Build A Customer List

Email Marketing is a very effective marketing channel for any business, any service/product. But the basis of success in Email Marketing is that you have to build a quality customer list based on the customer's permission when you email them. If you build a list of customers who trust you and treat you as an expert in the field you are doing, your list will grow stronger and stronger.

Developing and taking care of email lists is a challenge, even for experienced marketers. No matter where you are in the search and build your customer list, assuming you have thousands of customer contacts, managing lists is as hard as changing addresses. Subscribers stop tracking, and some unsubscribe, dropping around 20-30% of your list every year.

The following list will provide you with tips and techniques to help you successfully build a customer list:

Tips To Successfully Build Your Customer List

1. Add the registration form wherever possible

To make your customers easy to sign up, make sure your form is prominent and easy to see. Blogging is a great tool and then you can insert the form into the article, it is very effective. Also, you can insert the sidebar or footer.

2. Promote registration

Make your customers easy to sign up for the form, in the form only need 2 fields as the name and phone number. They are all you need initially. Be clear and honest about what your email followers receive. Include testimonials from customers who have used your service. Let them know that if they sign up for the form they will often receive your newsletter. Then you get more subscribers.

3. Secure your email address information

Do not overlook this important issue. Most people are afraid they will get avalanches of spam, or phishing when they give out their email address. Tell your potential customers that you respect their privacy and personal information. Then link to your privacy page, and include a link to the customer care page for those who have questions.

4. Add incentives to subscribe

Decide what you want to use first, which is best suited to your product/service. The most popular incentives are free newsletters, ebooks, brochures, special offers, VIP programs, and discounts, it is possible to deduct a portion of your profits to give away to customers if signing a form is effective. This will increase the number of qualified and potential customers and your reputation will also increase.

5. Create a great Squeeze Page to collect customer information

First, a page is usually designed solely for collecting customer information, so make sure it's compelling. It will possess powerful titles and attractive benefits so that customers would crave it and subscribe to your list. You can insert an audio or video explaining why they should subscribe to your form. Or consider allowing customers to easily leave messages or comments. It creates a connection between people and is an opportunity to direct them to your website so that both sides benefit.

6. Include testimonials in the Squeeze Page

This is extremely important, and customer feedback can impact on the strongest conversion rates I've ever seen. Give 1 to 2 testimonials of loyal and satisfied customers to your service. Use any formatted text, image, audio, etc... but the video is much more trustworthy. Everybody wants to hear the opinions of other users, they will have more views on the product.

7. Use social networking to get customers to sign up via Facebook

Social networking has become an effective place to earn email addresses. Please put a subscription button on your fanpage, so fans can subscribe to your list. Then you can send a message to your fans to make the connection.

8. Integrated ‘Sign up’ button in your newsletter or email

Or a link in your registration page, so that the customer can forward to friends and colleagues? Or share it on social networks? You can increase your list with just one more button to register.

9. Create a blog or website with lots of useful information

By providing a bundle of online articles or a collection of newsletters, you can create a website or blog. For example, whenever new messages are made, notify them via email, which you can do. Give it to the user who decides to subscribe easier with that compelling information collection. Online newsletters are also a great way to generate traffic to your website.

10. Add a call-to-action

Add a ‘share this information to your friends’ action call or a share button in your newsletter or promotion. This is a good way to encourage users to share your news on social networks, which is a 'word of mouth' technique that is as powerful as a virus. If your newsletter is useful they will not hesitate to share it on social networks. This will help you get new users with minimum effort.

11. Let others reprint your newsletter

You encourage others to distribute and republish your newsletters and point out that the content is not modified. Many webmasters and publishers are actively building quality content, and if people print your newsletter, you can get new users, traffic to your website, and links to your website.

12. Cooperate with others to build your list

Collaborating with others is a great way to build your list. Your newsletter or link appears on other people's websites, and users can register right there on your list! This is also a great way that we usually use.

13. Use Google AdWords advertising campaigns

Google Adwords is a cost-effective way to generate great results. Incorporating newsletters encouraging users to subscribe to your site can make a big difference.

14. Use your mailing list

If you have a mailing list from your offline business campaigns, send postcards to your customers and a special discount. Then ask them to subscribe to your email list.

Cards and Catalogs are also great ways to send information to your customers. The information about the website address, a form of registration on e-cards, electronic catalogs, company profiles, etc will be a source for you to direct your customers to the website and register your listing.

15. Make positive on websites similar to yours

Search for similar websites and newsletters using Google Blog Search or Technorati. Under the posts are comments, you interact with them there, and insert links to your website.

16. Act actively on forums

Add a link to your registration form or website to your signature in the forum. Being active on it, you will attract a large number of fans visit your website.

17. Customer care by phone

Use your telesales skills. Check with your team to develop a questionnaire for your customer service department to help you get the most out of your customer information.

18. Exhibition, trade fair

Trade fair exhibitors are potential buyers. Use this opportunity to collect their information. Send the email to the exhibitors that you collect information from, mention that you met them at the exhibit, and ask if you can help them. And do not forget to ask for permission to include them in your email list.

19. Seminar, workshop

A seminar is a great way to build a close relationship with your customers. Companies have the opportunity to interact and directly introduce their products/services. A seminar is an opportunity to introduce additional services such as newsletters, books, trial products, customer care programs. And then we can get their information.

20. Direct discussion
