I Didn't Sleep At All Last Night

I didn't sleep at all last night. It was the worse night I've had in awhile. On Saturday night our Air Conditioner shut off. It wouldn't come back on either. It was a really hot night on Sunday. Not so much on Saturday. So we really didn't notice till Sunday that the house was really warming up. It got to be 93 in my sons bedrooms. One of my boys has Autism too so it was just not a good night at all. We all tried to find what was wrong with it. My neighbor came over to look at it too. She works on power lines for the electric company. She could definetly fix it right. Well she couldn't and no one could figure it out. She gave us a number to a company that would come out the same day, even on weekends. Surprise, they didn't answer. So we were in for hot night and I really don't mind because I think of all the people without A/C. All the homeless people too that have no where to go to get cool. I felt like one of them last night for sure. I mostly felt bad for my sons. We were all still up at 2am. So finally I figured out a solution for my sons to get cool. But my boy with Autism was just not listening. He stayed up all night and was splashing himself with water from the sink. He can't speak so it makes it hard for all of us to understand what is going on with him. He gets so frustrated and lashes out and hits the walls and hits us to. Along with the dogs and anything in his way. It could take me hours to write about him, One day I will tell you all about him cause it will also help me feel better. To write it down and get it off my mind. Of how crazy I go everyday of my life. Well we made it till the sun came up and then my son finally went to sleep. He missed a day of school. But it's ok cause there is only 3 days left. My other boy did go to school. Even though he didn't sleep. He has 3 days left too. He also has Perfect Attendance for the year so far and I would have dragged him right on that bus. Lol. Losing a little sleep never hurt no one unless of course you were driving a car. But a 13 year old boy can handle it. He usually pulls all nighters on his XBox during the summer. So he was going to school. No matter what. I didn't sleep but maybe an hour. then the air conditioning guys came. Yay we were saved. Then they came up the steps with some bad news that we had to get the electrician that wired the house because they can't find out why there was no power. They checked everything and even got shocked. I was walking up the stairs and I heard a great big pop. Then I looked over and saw a very bright flash. I asked if he was ok. He just laughed and I said boy that was scary. The electrician that wired the house had retired and we knew we were in for a big bill. For a new electrician that don't know how the house was wired. One of the guys then said let me try one more thing. There is a breaker down there that is by itself and not getting any power so he figured he would track it down by knocking on the ceiling were it ran upstairs. So we heard the knock and followed it and it finally tracked it to the laundry room. Here is the problem the one guy said. Here you go it is all fixed. I said wow what the heck was it. It was the Emergency Shut Off switch on the wall in the laundry room. My Autistic son went in there on Saturday night to bring me something he wanted out of the freezer and hit the switch off when he was leaving. We were just speechless and didn't understand why no one thought of it on Sunday afternoon. But now we have our air back, Yay. Now when it goes again we know where to look. I have lots of problems with him constantly shutting off light switches and turning them back on and off until he understands that I am saying stop. Anywhere we are at he will find a switch and shut it off. His Doctors office has gotten used to it. When the lights go out they just yell "PARKER." Public restrooms, restraunts, just about any place there is a light switch. All you hear is people screaming and when the lights come back on a sigh of relief. When the people are done screaming I say to them well at least we're not at the White House. Could you imagine my son starting World War III. I can and that's a big nightmare for me. What if he ever just pulls the wrong switch. Thanks for reading my blog. I really don't know how I got to write it. My day is just an absolute fog. But I'm proud of myself for getting everything done. Wrote my blogs, sent my emails, placed my ads and engaged in some IBO Spirit. I really have to right. My Why is a big one. To have the money to help my son get over his symptons, so one day he don't blow up the world. I'm Not Exaggerating Either.
