Pennies From Heaven?

Pennies from Heaven? We all know this saying. Probably no matter where you come from. I always heard this saying but never understood what it truly meant until my Grandmother died on April 15th 2015.

The only things my grandmother was iconic for where her sayings and outlook on life. Everyone was out to rob you. I swear. If you told her someone was going to give you something there was a reason for you not to take it from them. It was fun to laugh but she was always right.

Another thing she would say is "If someone didn't like the way your house looked when they visit then grab a broom". The most famous one was "The only thing I have to do is pay taxes and die". Well, that she did on tax day no less.

She meant a lot to me. I was always on her mind. She always remembered anything about my life that I didn't remember. We talked every day on the phone. Sometimes it was nerve racking always having to take time out of your day to call someone every day. What would you talk about? We always found something to keep us on the phone for sometimes hours but no less than 1.

She died at 91. Survived stomach cancer in her 80's. Appendix surgery, a broken shoulder ,and a broken hip at 90. She was the Energizer Bunny. Blind and deaf. Could only see shadows. Had an eye replacement in her 70's that did not take. It was sad.

I could go on and on at how my grandmother defied all odds to still be around for her family. Not happy with her quality of life. When she fell for the last time she was done. She found out that she fractured her arm and someone told her from the Doctor's office she would need surgery and all she thought about was having to go back to the rehab home for the 50th time. She was done with that and decided to give up and she died that night.

It is amazing how someone can just die on cue so to say. I saw on the news today a couple in the same nursing home room died 20 minutes apart. My husband's grandfather died 9 days after his wife.

Back to my story that I can go on forever and I hope you are enjoying and walking along side my grandmother.

Sweet lady that would give you anything if she thought you needed it more than her. She didn't make anything but was lucky to live with her daughter and collect Social Security retirement and of course you may as well say nothing. LOL

We always said she had to stay here until I made it. Every time we built and established life. BAMM knocked down the ladder again. She was saying will you just let me die already.

In February 2015 we opened our own company. She was worried for us. Asking how will we get business? How are you going to live until you are paid for your work?. We argued a bit which makes me feel a little sad thinking about it.

But when we got 80 orders from a company the first month in business and knew the money we would get from this. She knew we were going to make it finally and it was her time.

I spoke with her on the phone as usual on April 14th and when I hung up I said to my husband I think that will be the last time I talk to my grandmother. Of course, he said no way. Well, that morning 2 friends came to tell me.

Now for the strange thing that some of you may not believe in. She always said she saw things. She could see people and animals and describe them to a tee. We all went along with her and her Doctor said it was her mind trying to make her eyes see. She said no way. She knows what she is seeing. I always thought I did the same. I would fall asleep on the couch and would wake up and see something in front of me or across the room. Gave me the creeps.

I would feel something run up on me from behind. Even sometimes feel the floor move from it. So go ahead and say you is a crazy girl.

Well, one day I said to my mom that I need to see a Doctor cause I think there is something wrong with me. I told her I fell asleep on the couch while watching TV and woke to my grandmother in front of me. It was just her face and her upper body right in front of me. I saw her clear as day. And then she was gone. I have never seen her on any other image when I woke from sleeping on the couch ever since. Oh, and my mother confirmed there is nothing wrong with me.

So now to the Pennies from Heaven. I met a lady at the beauty shop that was showing pictures of a house she was at that had been haunted. They were creepy pictures but still can you believe. You know unless you see it should you believe it. Then she said to me your grandmother died and she is leaving you pennies and dimes everywhere.

She said have you been noticing this? Lucky guess we drop change all the time and usually small change.

Many instances were popping up, Things that were just way creepy. When I started noticing it got more intriguing. My mother and I were shopping together and hanging out more. I told her what this lady said to me and she, of course, was thinking the same as you.

One day we went for ice cream and we were walking out deciding to sit in the car or at a table and there was a penny on the table. So that was our sign to sit there. One day in the Kmart parking lot my mother was sitting in the car with the door open and me and my son were standing near her. My son bent down and said here is a dime. Then he walked over me and said here is your dime and then turned to my mom and said here is your dime. They were right under us on the ground. Neatly placed in front of each of us.

The next event was when I took my other boy to Urgent Care. My mother went with me. When I took my son back to the Doctor my mother went outside for some air while she waited. She looked down and there was a penny. She bent over to pick it up and then there was a dime right above the penny.

Many more events followed like getting an answer to a question or a problem by looking down and seeing a penny or dime on the ground or one just flying out somewhere or something at the exact moment saying I am here and I hear you. I've even said enough with the pennies and dimes. I need some quarters and yes I find those too. I was never lucky enough to find pennies everywhere. You should see the box she gave me weeks before she died. It is almost ready to be deposited.

Signs are everywhere. You should always look for them. When we blind ourselves to them we have no idea what we are missing.
