SHU FLY DON'T BOTHER ME!

Shu Fly Don't Bother Me! Remember that song. It was written long before we were born. Flies have been around since the beginning of man. Flies are even in ancient drawings. They were written in the Bible as one of the plaques. It's time once again for these little nasty creatures to plaque us through spring, summer and sometimes most of fall. So I thought I would pull this blog out of the vault and give it another go.

Flies are an absolute nuisance not to mention a disease carrier. There are many different types of flies, over 120,000 but they all do the same thing. They bug you like crazy. I can't stand them. Who can? It's not like anyone is going to say to me why don't you like them they are so cute.

They say everything is here for a reason. Get rid of one species and you mess with the ecosystem. I want to know what flies are really here for. What are they really about? What makes it good for them to be here?

You know the expression "I'd like to be a fly on the wall." Why? You can''t see a thing and I doubt that they can even hear. Flies have over 4000 lenses in each eye. If you saw the movie Fly you have an idea of how they can see. But I am not sure if they can hear. I think it is just vibrations that they hear.

This year there are millions more flies around due to our warming winter last year. Almost every bug species survived and now they are out for a vengenance against every human.

My mom always says that when you swat a fly more come to their funeral. I am starting to believe that this is true. It is just crazy around here. Everywhere you look there is a fly some where. My front and back door screens look like the Amityville horror movie. The weather is getting a bit chiller and the flys are waiting for you to open the door so they can come in.

If you keep seeing a fly in your house it could be the same one. They can live up to 25 days and they have no problem finding anything to eat even in the cleanest houses. Then again if you think it's that same darn fly bothering you all the time chances are it's not. It is probably another and another. Believe me flies have no problem reproducing.

A female fly can lays eggs just a few days after hatching and they can lay up to 6 batches of 75 to 100 eggs and in warm conditions they hatch every 12 to 24 hours. Unless of course you kill them before that happens. Chances are you won't.

I can swear that no matter where we go we see a fly. Anywhere we go to eat there is always a fly bothering us. There could be a place filled with people that fly will pick on us. We go to stores and there is a fly. I was even in my kids schools for back to school night and there was a fly at both of them. I have flies in my car that travel to another state with us. It is said that flies have even been taken up on the space shuttle.

I have to laugh because flies typically only travel 1 to 2 miles from where they were born but will travel up to 20 miles for food. Now that you got in my car you are traveling very far from home you stupid fly. Even traveled to outer space. I am sure your family will miss you. LOL.

So I also found that flies will never ever go away in your home unless you of course kill them. I myself am a weak heart and hate to kill anything at all. So I have said well this fly will die in a few days. Who knows how long it's been alive already. Well you have to know that this fly is already laying eggs in your house or is about to.

So you need to get that fly swatter or the new fly zapper whatever you have and kill every last fly you see in your house. Believe me if you don't you are headed for pure hell. Don't waste your time spraying them. They like that stuff I think. They get even bigger and lay even more eggs it seems. Just swat them and every last one. Just don't swat a few and take a break. For Gods sake kill everyone.

You will be sorry if you don't. You will look up at you ceiling one night and count over 100 of them up there. No lie. You can be the cleanest person but they will live on and reproduce in your home. Especially if it is warmer than the outside. I have even killed a few flies mating. Don't be doin that S**t in my house. No way.

Just had to express my hate for flies. Any bug really. But I had respect enough to learn more about them before I swat them. Which is not an easy task either. Flies are the quickest insects out there and will evade you very often. "Darn it I missed you again." Scientists found that the reason flies can get away so fast is because there wings are connected to their eyes and acts as a muscle to help escape your swat much easier. They know where you are standing no matter where.

Hope you enjoyed Shu Fly Don't Bother Me! Hope you learned something new about flies.

If you can learn to say "It is what it is." You will live a happier life.
