More than 105 lost their lives. Million more lost everything else. This is from Hurricane Sandy happening no more than 2 weeks ago. It is so sad to see the destruction it has done for so many. Hurricane Sandy smashed into the East Coast on October 29th 2012 and stayed around for days doing major damage and destruction. Even Death. President Obama declared my state and many others a natural disaster. Some people still remain without power while others don't even have another shirt to wear. The Red Cross and FEMA have been working around the clock to help recover these towns and cities while also providing much needed aid to everyone. There are shortages of just about everything from gasoline to generators. From Gas Cans to a bottle of water. Looting had also reared its ugly face in many towns. How dare anyone do something so awful to people that have already had to endure this disaster. If you have never lived through it and if you don't watch to much TV and you are just glued to your computer or video games you have no idea what anyone is going through. You have no idea what anyone means when they say the ocean took a whole town away. Thanks to residents and photographers that risked their lives to show us Mother Nature at her meanest. Without these pictures we would never see what we take for granted everyday. To see the spirits of so many taken with just one storm. A storm that happened to be the most distructive since Hurricane Isabel that hit North Carolina in 2003. We also should remember that we are not the only ones that get affected by these storms. There are also Islands that get slammed by Hurricanes often. Hurricane Sandy killed thousands in the Islands this year. They do not have the means that we do to survive such a savage storm. Here is a video that will show you the devastation across several states. http://www.ibosocial.com/MissessM/videos.aspx?videoid=34688 Your Friend, Dawn Meyers http://Dawn7.Le-Vel.com There are seven days in a week, and "someday" is not one of them.
