The Power of Music

The power of music. It can make you emotionally overjoyed. You can either be very happy or very sad. You may even cry when you hear it but for many different reasons.

One day you may hear a song that you remember hearing when you were just a little kid. It brings us back to the age of innocense and can either make us smile or make us sad. Another day you can hear a song that reminds us of our old boyfriend or girlfriend and most of the time it will make us sad. But then there are times you hear a song that makes you want to yell out to the World. And dance and sing for eternity.

They have been using music to stimulate the minds of babies before they are even born. People use classical music but there are the occasional Metallica lover that would love their baby to be bangin their head as soon as they are born. Baby Einstein videos and music are often used as baby is watching the tube or sleeping in their crib. It seems to really do the trick.

Music also helps people with diseases and it is said that they are teating to see whether music will help people with Parkinson's diease or Stroke. One group of people I know it helps are people who have Autism. Music stimulates a part of their brain and unlocks learning. They are calmed by it. They are motivated by it.

My son is an example of a person it helps. He has Autism too. He listens to all kinds of music. Some of it makes me laugh. I am always saying what the heck is he listening to in there. Different languages, different genres. Just music you would not believe existed. It all just interests him and there is one song in particular that I thought was strange when I first heard it. It grew on me too. It's funny how it is about a computer. He loves his computer and anything that has to do with windows operating system.

He makes us laugh when he fixes the computer for us. He's only 11 and can't even talk. He's been using the computer since he was 18 months old and even fixed his teachers computer in Kindergarten. He is amazing when it comes to his computer. He can't talk or type but yet he finds things that wow us.

Take a listen to his favorite song. You my find it catchy just like I did. It's called "Hello Windows" by Halyosy http://www.ibosocial.com/missessm/videos.aspx
