Exploring Direct Sales Companies for Men? 7 Tips for Success

Published on 4/12/2016
For additional information  Click Here

Are you wondering which are the best direct sales companies for men?
The good news is you have lots of choice. Millions and millions of man across the world earn their income from direct selling.
Some men have great success in direct selling. They make it look easy and it is - for them. Others thrash about, and fail.

So, what is the main difference here?

Why do some succeed where others fail?

And what can you do in order to make sure you will be one of the successes?

Success doesn't come by accident.

Work through these steps carefully - they are all important.

man start up

BTW, there are many companies that have both men and and women selling their products. Don't just limit yourself to direct sales comapanies for men, unless that is your preference.

Here are 7 steps to consider to greatly increase your chances of succeeding at direct sales...

1. Think about the type of products you would be comfortable selling...

Will you be adding value to people's lives?

Choose a product range that you feel would make a difference to people's lives and has a huge market.

Now, just why would this make a difference?

It's obviously much easier to promote a product that interests people...

Select a product or product range that attracts both men and women for maximum sales and income for you.

There's an enormous variety of products to choose from, though it would be true to say many are nutrition and personal care product lines.

Think about the price - there are many overpriced products where buyer resistance, could be a problem.

Is it a company everyone has heard of and tried the products?

Unless they have a dynamic new range, you might find it difficult to make sales.

2. Consider carefully the size of the market.

Will the product or service appeal to only a small select group or does it have mass market appeal?

It is much easier to make more money if you are selling a product that lots of people would be interested in purchasing.

This is important because those who buy from you will know lots more people who might like the product(s).

If you can work on referrals or recommendations, this will make you more profitable more quickly.

Here's a clue...

Can you find a product where people can save money on something they were going to buy anyway?

3.Select a product range that you are comfortable with...

and at ease with, that doesn't destroy, damage, harm or injury your credibility.

  • products that you are interested
  • you have personal experience of
  • believe is the best available
  • and would like to work with long term.
    Here's the reason behind this...

coffe beans and cup

if you feel the tiniest bit uncomfortable, uneasy, anxious, or unsure, you'll find excuses and ""reasons"" not to show people the product.

You must have confidence in the products!

Crunch test - is it a product you would use yourself, even if you weren't selling it?

4. Pick a product or service that is fast and simple to show or demonstrate.

Why is this important ?

Depending on the product or service, you could end up with a lot of expense for samples etc Demo product may be tax deductible, but demonstrating products can take a lot of time.

Also, you'll have to have the samples with you - packing and unpacking them can be quite tedious after a time, particularly if you are using the "home party" route.

Could you choose a product where you could just show someone a quick video clip on your mobile phone, for example, and they could order immediately? Can you imagine how much more income you could make ?

5. Consider whether the product is a repeat purchase or a one-off.

Obviously a repeat purchase is better for you, as long as you will be credited for the sale on autoship.

Check whether the products are also available on Amazon or eBay. If they are, there's nothing to stop any of your customers buying there - and you'll miss out on the commission...

It amazes me that some well known direct selling companies undermine their reps in this way.

If you are building a team and you are all missing out on sales each month because the product is available through Amazon etc, over time the amount of money you have lost could be considerable.

6. Consider what training will be available to you - and any costs involved.

(Tax deductable, I know - but you have to pay out in the first place!)

Will it be theory or field training?

training session

How many other reps are there for the same company in your area? You don't want to be tripping up over each other.

Would it be advantageous to join a new company with new products few people have heard of? The novelty value could be really helpful.

7. How do you get paid?

Do you have to have a certain percentage of sales each month to get paid? What happens, then, if you want to go off on a long holiday?

There are companies that penalise you if you don't bring in sales each month - so check the penalty clauses carefully before jumping in.

It's easy to see why so many are interested in direct sales companies for men.

Success in direct selling offers you...

  • time freedom and financial freedom
  • the opportunity to start your own business with low overheads,
  • low capital outlay, and
  • no special business experience.

"The Direct selling industry is still working - it's the bedrock of commerce." Newsweek.

Wishing you success :)
