I Let others have the last word

I let others have the last word.

When it comes to having the last word, I am happy to skip my turn. I am usually better off when I let others have the final say.

My relationships run more smoothly when I stop struggling to win minor arguments. Caring about my friends and family matters more than proving that I am right.

Considering other people’s points of view also helps to make my thinking more flexible. I become open to new perspectives and consider experimenting with fresh approaches.

As I practice listening to others, my respect for those around me grows. I feel like I understand them better when I listen and realize how much they can teach me. My connections with them deepen as well.

Actions often matter more than words. I devote my time to activities that bring me closer to achieving my goals. This is a better use of my energy than getting caught up in discussions that may have little potential to yield tangible results.

The more I think about it, I see how easy it is to let others have the last word. It is free and it saves me time.

Today, I manage my emotions and hold my tongue when I believe that this is the most constructive approach. I am happy to let others enjoy the satisfaction of having the last word. I want us all to be happy and fulfilled.
